Eastside Pies
Possibly the best pizza in town! I just had my first pie from Eastside Pies, and let me tell you, if you like thin crust pizza, this is the place for you. They use a Pita bread dough, and they make the crust thin, and the pile the toppings high. The pita crust was amazing and crispy, and the toppings were unique and delicous. I got a pie with Artichoke hearts, Jerk chicken, Mushrooms, and Sundried tomatoes. There is only like 4 tables, all outside, and enough room in the store for about 3 people to stand. They also have some pre-cooked pizzas in case your in a hurry. I give this the best pizza in town until I taste one better. This is taking over the spot from Rounder's in my book.

Marakesh Cafe & Grill
I found a great little Greek restaurant in downtown Austin! I went on a Saturday, and walked from the capital, where I parked my car to a little restaurant called Marakesh Cafe & Grill. We were greeted by a nice woman behind the register and found a small menu with all your typical Greek food, including gyros and other types of wraps. We ordered some gyros and some humus, as well as a soft drink. The gyro was great, with delicious meat and fresh vegetables, along with a very refreshing sauce. The humus was just ok in my opinion, but everyone likes something different when it comes to humus, so it's worth a try. I will definetly be going back for another lunch in the near future.

Estância Churrascaria - Brazilian Steakhouse
I just checked out Estância Churrascaria over on Brodie ln & Hwy 290 on Sunday. I have to say I was very impressed They have a special pricing on Sundays, it's $27 for all the meat you can eat. The resteraunt is setup like a typical Brazilian steakhouse. If you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before, this means that there are waiters going around to all the tables offering different types of meats. My favorite was the filet, and the special steak which is cooked with garlic and other spices. All of the meat was great, and the service was excellent. When it came to dessert, the molten lava cake was outstanding. Out of all the molten cakes I've had in Austin, I'd rate is 2nd behind Roy's (Hawaii Cuisine). The only disappointment to me were the cocktails. The mojito and the special Brazilian mojito were very sour. The dinner was a little pricey after drinks and dessert, about $100 per couple.

DKs Sushi Bar & Resteraunt
Well, this was my first dinner visit that wasn't during their karaoke night. I have to say it was a very good experience. The sushi and appetizers were good, the service was pretty good, and the price was great. We got 6 sushi rolls, some yakimanoo, and some tempura, as well as 1 beer, and the entire tab came out to $60. None of the sushi really blew me away, but everything was fresh tasting, and I can't really complain about any of the dishes. I reallly liked the yakimandoo, and the green tea was very tasty. It tasted like the tea used in the Ochazuke (rice and tea dish). I will definitely be making more visits on nights I feel like sushi at a reasonable price.

Heading out to DKs Sushi on South 1st street. I've been there once before on a Monday for the karaoke special, but this time we're going to check it out on a Saturday around 9pm. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
